Here we have an empty parallel plate capacitor, with capacitance
C = Q/V. Let us see how inserting a dielectric material between the capacitor
plates affects the capacitance.
Since the two capacitor plates have opposite charges, there
is an electric field between them. The dielectric will develop a polarisation
in response to this field.
