Further information
The microstructures consists of cored dendrites of a phase (brown). The coring causes the concentration of tin in the liquid to increase. Thus instead of solidifying to pure a, the liquid transforms to a and b. The b transforms to a and g and subsequently the g transforms to a and d giving the blueish region. Alloys such as this sometimes exhibit "tin sweat", which is a traditional name given to segregation in Cu-Sn alloys.
